What we do

Farming Operation

The farm winters around 6,830 stock units in total, in a ratio of 65:31:4 sheep:cattle:deer. A flock of approximately 4,400 MA ewes plus 1,200 ewe hogget replacements is maintained, and a herd of 200 MA Angus cows.

Farm Forestry

In addition to the forestry operation, large areas of indigenous bush remnants and regenerating bush (more than 100ha in total) are a feature of Rātāmarumaru. Most are fenced off from stock.

Farm Experience

Any farm is more than just the commercial operation. Rātāmarumaru is a special place and with that comes a huge variety of experiences to really enjoy the land that we are privileged to look after.
